HumanTangle uses a deliberately limited cookie and analytics model. HumanTangle does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising cookies or retargeting cookies.
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or service can store through your browser. Some storage is needed for ordinary website functions. Other storage, such as analytics cookies, can help a website understand how visitors use it.
HumanTangle separates necessary website storage from optional analytics rather than treating every cookie as automatically accepted.
HumanTangle may use cookies or similar storage where reasonably necessary for website operation, security, checkout, fraud prevention, digital delivery or remembering privacy choices.
Where storage is genuinely necessary to provide a service requested by the visitor or keep the website secure, it may operate without optional analytics consent where applicable law permits. Necessary storage is not used by HumanTangle for behavioral advertising.
Google Analytics is the only non-essential analytics service currently planned for HumanTangle. If Google Analytics is enabled, it is used for general website measurement and improvement, not for behavioral advertising or retargeting.
When enabled, Google Analytics may process information such as users and sessions, approximate geographic information, browser and device information and how visitors use pages. Depending on the technical configuration, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and related property-specific cookies.
If Google Analytics is not enabled on the live website, this section does not mean Analytics cookies are being placed.
Where consent is required, optional analytics should remain inactive until you choose to allow analytics.
If you select Accept Analytics, analytics storage may be enabled and Google Analytics may begin collecting permitted measurement information. If you select Reject Analytics, HumanTangle should not activate Google Analytics tags or cookies that depend on analytics consent.
Your choice should be remembered so you are not unnecessarily asked again on every page.
If Google Analytics is enabled, HumanTangle intends to use basic Google Consent Mode where consent is required. Under that model, Google Analytics tags remain blocked until the visitor grants analytics consent.
HumanTangle does not use Google Ads, retargeting or advertising pixels through this setup.
You can change your analytics choice later through the persistent Cookie Settings control available on HumanTangle.com. Changing your choice should affect future analytics activity governed by that consent.
Deleting browser cookies may also remove the stored record of your previous preference, in which case the site may ask for your choice again.
When Google Analytics is enabled, HumanTangle will use the data-retention settings actually configured for its Analytics property rather than promising a period in this policy that does not match the live setting.
HumanTangle should review the configured retention period as part of launch and whenever the analytics setup materially changes.
HumanTangle does not currently use cookies for targeted advertising, cross-site retargeting or advertising-profile creation. If that practice changes in the future, the Cookie Policy and consent choices must be updated before those technologies are introduced where required.
Google and other service providers may change how their technology operates over time. HumanTangle should review this policy when a material change to the live analytics or cookie setup affects what visitors should reasonably know.
